Paul McArdle
Dietician
After graduating from Leeds Metropolitan University with an honours degree in dietetics, Paul began working in the NHS. He soon realised his specialist interests were obesity and weight loss, healthy eating, physical activity, Diabetes and Coronary Heart Disease, as well as improving school meals. He has been focusing within these fields for the last 5 years and currently works as a Diabetes Specialist Dietician for the NHS.
Paul is the Editor of Link Up, a national publication for Diabetes Specialist Dieticians and has also written for the British Journal of Primary Care Nursing.
Paul says: We all know that 'fad diets' don't work and that one size certainly does not fit all! Stop the vicious cycle and start to change your behaviour and lifestyle for good!
His TV and radio work includes BBC Midlands Today, ITV1 Central News and BBC 5 Live.
Paul is a member of the Health Professions Council (HPC), is a full member and media spokesperson for the British Dietetic Association (BDA), and a committee member and PR officer for the DMEG (Diabetes Management & Education Group of the BDA).
Paul was an obvious choice to work with Diet Freedom due to his specialist knowledge and interests, and his down to earth, no nonsense approach.
